This may come as a shock to some of you but I have made the monumental decision to take a sabbatical for a year.

There are a number of reasons, but the major contributor to my decision has been my involvement with a guerrilla group in Bolivia, that I met while I was in Peru, who are fighting for freedom and justice against unbelievable odds.

Many of you will be aware of my socialist leanings including supporting Cuba against US aggression and Tibet against Chinese aggression. And that I am totally against USA invading Iraq.

I have been communicating with the group in Bolivia for several months, and now finally I have an opportunity to join them. I know most of you will think I am totally crazy but I have not made this decision lightly.

It is an opportunity for me to try and make a difference and to live my life for something I believe in rather than working for the capitalist petroleum industry Pigs.

Nothing you can say or do will stop me doing what I truly believe in.
